Beautiful Reflections

My parents, bless their hearts, it couldn't have been easy loving the three of us

My sister, she’s got a peaceful soul, yet she still, she still knows how to rock + roll

My brother, he used to beat me up, through all the shit were still the best of friends

Throughout our lives, we’ve always kept in touch

Through the ups and downs, no judgement passed, I love them all so very much

We all go spinnin, laughin, dancin, twistin, fightin, livin and existing

Perfect perfections, thoughtful affections, beautiful reflections, it all translates to love

My parents, there getting kind of old, Dad plays golf and mom still knows how to rock + roll

My sister,  she has two great kids, just like her they both have peaceful souls

My brother, he has had it kinda hard, he keeps his head down but he keep his chin up

I know my family seems to have a thousand imperfections

But all of us together are a million perfect perfections

Million Perfect Perfections x 2

My parents, they’ve really slowed down, but they still, they still know how to get down

My sister, yea her kids are grown, their in that distance stage we all have known

My brother, he found his soulmate, she picked him up and turned his frown upside down

Perfect perfections, thoughtful affections, beautiful reflections, it all translates to love

My family, they’ve all passed on

But when I think of them it’s a Beautiful Reflection

Breaking The Chain

If you weren’t white, my dad hated you

He used every racial slur he could think for you

I loved my father, despite my disgust

I’m sure you can see, it sure screwed me up

To this I proclaim, I’m breaking the chain

We no longer hate, were a family of love

If you weren’t tough my dad hated you

He beat me so hard, it turned my heart black and blue

He called it tough love, he said he did it for god and me

It shaped who I am, It made a man out of me

Imagine my disgust of where I came from

This evil man he called me his son

To this I proclaim, I’m breaking the chain

We no longer hate, were a family of love

We no longer hate, were a family of love

I was raised on the influence of violence and god

It led to a life of guilt booze and broads

We all know’s there’s god, I found religion’s false

The time for redemption

Say no to temptation

The road to Salvation

Lies in your heart  x  2

To this I proclaim, I’m breaking the chain

We no longer hate, were a family of love

If you weren’t rich, my dad hated you

He looked down from his white hatred, hiding from the truth

He cared about white bigots, he wanted to be like them

It was so important, he didn’t care what his own kids thought of him

I don’t see a reason, to hate your fellow man

Especially for the reason of the color of his skin

Despite what he might think, despite what he has shown

Were al created equal, dad, the lie has been told

To this I proclaim, I’m breaking the chain

We no longer hate, were a family of love  x  4

Beautiful Reflections

No Judgements passed,  I love them all so much.

Breaking The Chain

To This I Proclaim - I'm Breaking The Chain.  We no longer hate - were a family of love.

Don't Fit In

I’ve lost everything I owned three times in my life

They say three times is a charm I guess they might be right

It’s taught me everything I needed to know

About life love peace and the path I choose to go

There are many things to buy including false clarity

You can purchase love, you can purchase fame, you can purchase security

All these things that are better in life are not purchased with the dollar bill

I finally have come to peace that I don’t fit in

I always wonder if it’s me

Let me sit here let me be

I’ve released all my enemies

I believe it’s time to say la vie

Oh I

Oh I

I Do’t fit in

I don’t how could they

She don’t It’s hard to say

He don’t are you sure

They don’t why would they want to fit

Why would they want to fit in

Don’t feel afraid if you feel you don’t fit

Even the ones who appear ok are better than hiding this

If you strip the money, if you strip the fame, if you drop the acting act

You’ll find were all insecure in ways shaped from our pasts

I always wonder if it’s me

Let me sit here let me be

I’ve released all my enemies

I believe it’s time to say la vie

Oh I

Oh I

I Do’t fit in

Oh I

Oh I

I Do’t fit in  x 4

Hey Pretty Girl

500 miles already gone

Trying to get back to where I call home in your arms babe

Home is in our hearts

Hey Pretty Girl with your eyes so wide

Guide me through the Kansas countryside on my way back home

Home is in your arms

Home is in your heart

Together were peace

Together were love

Were the couple that others want to be like us

Were a smile

Were a piece of fine art

It’s amazing babe

To share our hearts

Home is in our hearts

You always told me to follow my road

Cause I always have a place to call home in your arms babe

Home is in our hearts

I’ve taken chances I wouldn’t of have

If I didn’t have a place to call home in your arms babe

Home is in your arms

Home is in your heart

Now Sheila my dear, we now have a home

No longer from place to place we will roam

We have a home

Home is in our hearts

Don't Fit In

Don't Be Alarmed If You Feel Like You Don't Fit.  Even The Ones Who Appear Ok Are Better At Hiding This

Hey Pretty Girl

Home Is In Our Hearts
